Do you like providing a warm welcome to a wide range of visitors?
Keswick Museum is looking for someone who can help ensure that visitors have a great experience.
Key tasks may include:
- Welcoming visitors into the museum and providing them with essential information
- Selling tickets and gift shop items
- Sharing interesting knowledge about the collections
- Helping to keep the public areas clean, tidy, and safe
This would be a fantastic role for someone who is happy to engage in pleasant conversation with members of the public. If you’re a patient listener and able to explain things clearly, we’d love to have you on our team!
Benefits include invites to regular social events, access to the Northern Museums Volunteer Pass (which allows you free entry to participating museums in the North West, North East, Yorkshire and Humberside regions) and being part of a friendly team (there is promise of lots of tea and biscuits!).
Dates & Availability
We suggest a minimum involvement of a regular weekly or fortnightly shift to gain the most from this role. However, this is a flexible volunteering opportunity consisting of mutually agreed times for events or occasions in the museum.
