About the Role
Art Gene, which runs artist studios, a gallery and a community growing space in Barrow, is seeking new Trustees. Training needs will be met where possible.

Trustees will ideally be in post from January 2024 for at least a year.
About Art Gene
Art Gene is a unique, independent centre for art and environment founded and led by artists Stuart Bastik and Maddi Nicholson, and based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. They work with local communities alongside multidisciplinary teams of specialists to realise their aim of re-visioning the regeneration of the social, natural and built environment.
Art Gene aim to create projects which stimulate sustainable, self-sufficient, locally distinctive economies and cultures: to redefine ‘growth’ through designing appropriately scaled infrastructure and projects which increase the quality of life; the self reliance and resilience of individuals and communities.
