Rosehill Theatre are looking for volunteers to join their board of trustees. This gives you an opportunity to play a part in the development of their strategy and business plan, therefore guiding the future of the theatre! Rosehill recognise the importance of diversity on their trustee board, so encourage applications from people with a wide range of lived experiences; representation matters!
This role would suit anyone who values initiatives that support the community. Experience in accounting, fundraising, charity law, or inclusive practice are especially sought after but not essential.

Dates and Availability
Trustee meetings occur quarterly (every 3 months), and individuals are usually on the Board of Trustees for up to 2 years. There may also be opportunities to help as and when required at shows, fundraising, and awareness raising events.

Rosehill is an enchanting theatre in the beautiful landscape of Whitehaven. Their productions include operas, science shows, choirs, comedy, plays, music, and much more. They have recently pioneered Rosehill on the Road, where they take extraordinary performances out of the theatre and into the communities of Allerdale and Copeland.

Nb. The building has step free access straight from the disabled parking area, though double doors into a wide foyer which houses the lift to the upper floor. Volunteers can access all floors other than the circle which is only accessible by stairs. The theatre has several disabled toilets and runs relaxed and pay what you think performances throughout the year where volunteers are encouraged to become involved.
