A fantastic opportunity to go “behind the scenes” of a fully accredited museum.
Keswick Museum are looking for volunteers to help photograph, transcribe and digitally organise their archives.
In addition to being an opportunity to see collections up close, benefits include invites to regular social events, access to the Northern Museums Volunteer Pass (which allows you free entry to participating museums in the North West, North East, Yorkshire and Humberside regions) and being part of a friendly team (there is promise of lots of tea and biscuits!)
Skills and qualities
This role would suit someone with good attention to detail and basic knowledge of using digital cameras and Windows laptops. You will be provided with a full induction, training opportunities and ongoing support.

This is a flexible volunteering opportunity. You decide what commitment to give. We can work flexibly with you to determine what days may be of interest to you.
About the organisation
Keswick Museum & Art Gallery is a fully accredited museum run largely by volunteers. The museum cares for around 20,000 objects in their collection which reflect life in the Keswick area. The museum is also home to a community gallery which showcases the work of local groups & individuals, as well as a rolling programme of events/activities for all ages.
